Local Love: Kapas Baby

My goal for the week of Valentine’s Day was to show some local love for proudly South African baby and toddler clothing brands who create items that are both unique and functional for day-to-day wear.

Kapas Baby stands out from the crowd with their distinctive fabrics and noteworthy designs. I first fell in love with their clothing when I visited Kids Emporium and saw their adorable penguin ensemble.

It is important to note that Kapas Baby only makes clothing from 100% cotton fabric and focuses on items that are comfortable and practical - perfect for our little ones in which to spend the day playing and exploring!

Kapas Baby clothing is manufactured locally and their collections change seasonally. The current collection is inspired by our hot summer days - playing outdoors with our toes in the sand!

Living in Cape Town, my favourite go-to outfit at the moment is the raindrop summer short and Tee set (with matching dribble bib). Nunu wore the outfit on Friday and it rained that evening! Coincidence? We are currently facing the worst drought in a century and I feel like this cute raindrop ensemble has brought us some luck in the weather department!

The second outfit depicts the African Nguni Cow. This indigenous breed is considered to be one of the most beautiful cattle in the world due to their spectacular hides and exceptional beef.

I love the cute printed pocket detail on the Tee and the Little row of buttons up the front of the summer shorts! The cotton fabric also keeps Nunu cool during these hot and humid days.
