Two weeks' worth of baby food with R120

Baby food is so expensive in the shops. When Nunu first started eating solids, I honestly had no problem with the store bought jars. Our favourite were the Woolies sachets- they are delicious, actually look and smell what the picture advertised and are super convenient. They served the purpose for a long time, as Nunu was only eating 70ml at dinner and having fruit at lunch. Now that Nunu is 9 months and clearly a ravenous beast, eating everything in sight, the 140ml bag is just not cutting it.

I am sure these groceries would have been cheaper elsewhere, but I have a Woolies on my doorstep and lets be honest, nothing quite beats their quality!

500g orange flesh sweet potato

500g butternut

400g mixed vegetables (cauliflower, carrot, broccoli)

4 free range chicken breasts

250g brown basmati rice (already cooked)

All the veg can be steamed in the microwaveable bag and the chicken can be boiled.

For lunch: 12x60ml

X2 chicken breasts, brocolli, sweet potato, butternut

X2 chicken breasts, butternut, sweet potato, carrots, cauliflower
